National Geographic Channel’s New Series: Selling Survival!
Doomsday Preppers Season 3 With Chad Hudspeth
Meet The Hudspeths
Original air date for the Nat Geo TV Season 3 Premier of Doomsday Preppers Episode ‘The Flight Ahead’ is November 5th, 2013 at 9PM ET.
Some of the goals Chad and his family have are to be self-sufficient and food independent. By creating some of their own sources of food and taking other steps they are on the self-reliant path. While watching the show be sure to notice how easy it is to take care of their aquaponic Endless Food System and how great it is to have fresh healthy foods just steps away. You too can grow your own food with one of our kits!
Self-Sustainable Property
In addition to having access to clean drinking water for a property to be self sustainable, a food production system is also needed. To help accomplish this goal Chad is using one of the aquaponics systems he developed for his company Endless Food Systems.
Aquaponics enables you to grow food (produce & fish, and you can eat the fish) in a closed loop eco-system. Basically the fish waste provides the plants with nutrients and the plant help clean the water for the fish. Food generally grows about twice as quick compared to soil based gardening and is all organic since adding pesticides to the system could kill the fish.
